"Full carry over system" for Karnataka Diploma students who failed in ten or less subjects in Semesters I to IV for the academic yer 2013-14. Carry over facility has been available for the students studying in the year 2013-14.
State of Karnataka, Secretary Technical Education Examination Board and The Director of Technical Education Department issued instruction to college students to be facilitated with carry over system by promoting students to 5th semester if they failed in 10 or less subjects in Semester 1 to 4. Same way it also facilitates promoting students to 3rd semester if they failed in 10 or less subjects in Semester 1 and Additional classes for those students will be held to secure minimum percentage of attendance to appear for 5th/3rd semester examination when conducted. Internal examinations also will have been conducted for those students. If promoted students to 3rd or 5th semester of Diploma course found to be ineligible, "Carry Over System", be discharged and the course be refunded forthwith. No conditions to promote students from odd semester to even semester.

- Now for the academic year 2013-14, Karnataka Department of Technical Education Carry over system applicable only for four subjects for the students who are either promoted to 5th semester or 3rd semester.
- Students who are studying diploma courses of DCE/DME/DECE/DEEE/DCSE eligible for the promotion from even semester to odd semester in the next academic year only if students who have not failed in 4 or less subjects.
